On 25 June the Chapter of St. John of the Spanish Assembly of the Order of Malta was held in the Castrense Cathedral of Madrid.

During the ceremony various new knights and dames of the Order were received and some decorations of the Merito Melitense were granted by the President of the Assembly, His Excellency the Count of Santa Olalla.

Due to the mourning of the death of our Head of State the Lieutenant of Grand Master, the traditional luncheon of the Assembly was cancelled.

Our embassy was represented by the Ambassador and its Minister Counsellor.
