On 29 October a State Funeral took place in Valencia to commemorate the loss of 240 people a year ago during the torrential rains.
It took place in the monumental Museo de las Ciencias (Museum of Science) in Valencia. It was a lay funeral with the presence of Their Majesties de King and Queen of Spain, the complete Government and numerous relatives of the victims.
Our ambassador, as Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, represented the same with the ambassadors of Marrocco and China.
