On Saturday 6 June, because of the arrival of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, Their Majesties the King and Queen of Spain received the Government and the Diplomatic Corps at the Royal Palace.

His Holiness’ speech was of great profoundness and was applauded for some minutes.

The Papal visit to Spain was a great success, crowned by Pontifical Masses to where, for example, 1.2 million faithfuls attended in Madrid.

Our ambassador, was of course invited as Vice Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and Dean of the European ambassadors.
